Web2 okt. 2024 · The Bee Atlas project has 3 major components: specimens in the University of Minnesota’s insect collection, historical records from the Minnesota DNR and, yes, citizen science. It’s a brilliant model. In early spring, the Bee Atlas distributes nesting blocks throughout Minnesota, along with clear directions for where and how to mount them. This can be done in a few ways, 1) photograph the jar number and associated plant, 2) label the jar directly with the plant name, or 3) place a bit of the flower in the jar with the bee.
