Blucher locomotive

WebBlücher (aka Blutcher) was a ground breaking locomotive built by George Stephenson in 1814 in his role as engine wright at Killingworth Colliery. It was the first of a series of locomotives which established his reputation as an engine designer and eventually "Father of the Railways". It was not the first railway steam engine to be built.
